One of my favorite childhood stories was Ma Lien and the Magic Brush by Hisako Kimishima illustrated by Kei Wakana. This story speaks to the ability to create life through art. It is always a joy to see works realized but when designing for live entertainment I feel like I have Ma Lien’s magic brush in my hands.
